Upgrading your older Air Conditioner

Many homeowners are pleasantly surprised to find that installing a new air conditioning unit actually puts money in their pocket!  How?  Let's take a look at a SEER chart.  SEER stands for Standard Energy Efficiency Rating, used to determine energy costs for a given model and to make comparisons across models.  Prior to about 10 years ago, units did not have to be rated, and units of that vintage are most likely to be rated a 6 on the SEER chart, provided they are still working efficiently.   If they are not running at their peak efficiency, the actual SEER rating could be substantially less.

Look on the chart below to find your current energy costs with your old air conditioning unit.  Now look down a few lines to see what your costs would be with a 10 SEER (or higher) model.  Compare what your energy bill is now with what a new model would cost and you can see that you're putting money into your pocket, not the utility company!

If your current air conditioner has a SEER of 6.0 and your annual operating cost is $600.00, the cost to operate a new 10.0 SEER system would be $360.00, giving you an estimated annual savings of $240.00.

Adding on to your Central Heating Unit

If you have a central heating furnace, you have half of what you need for total comfort.  Why?  Your furnace already has ductwork attached to it to provide climate control to every room.  We will add to it the cooling portion, in addition to the heating portion you already have, to provide total comfort for your home year around!   Whether your unit is located on the roof, in the basement, in a closet, or in the garage, we can design and add an air conditioning system to your home to keep you comfortable whatever the weather is outside!

New Installations

If you're in the process of upgrading your old floor furnace or wall heater, now is an ideal time to insure your year around comfort!  Why?  Because we are already working on your system, it's easier now to add the cooling portion when we install the furnace than it is to attach it at a later date.  So you save on installation costs!  Be sure to ask your service technician for a quote that includes a cooling system.  You may be pleasantly surprised to find that climate controlled comfort is so affordable.
